This is a poor photo of a rough griffin sculpture, but I wanted to show an in-progress picture. This photo was taken right after I started,as you can tell. It is Sculpy, and it is about 8 inches tall.

hi. I wanted to let you know that you are the best for answering so many questions.

:-) Melody Pena replies: " I try to respond to comments and questions if I can find them! Sometimes they get lost and don’t get sent to my email, or the response gets lost, and doesn’t post in the comments.

Hi, my name is Laura, I’m 12 years old and i love to draw. I read a book about dragons and immediately wanted one. so i found your dragons. I love your dragons but I also like the baby griffin. what do you think? i wanted to let you know that you are a wonderful inspiration for kids everywhere and me too. maybe I’ll start sculpting. Let me know what you think about the dragon and griffin situation. bye!

:-) Melody Pena replies: "I’d get the griffin. Griffins are more unusual. Dragons are common these days!"

Hi, its me again, just wondering, how did you get the body to stay like that? I know that you use some kind of "skeleton" but what is it made of? One other thing, what color did you use for the Sculpy clay? I’m 13 years old and I’m experimenting with some sculpting of my own and, looking at your art, was wondering what would be the best material to use. Thank you so much!

:-) Melody Pena replies: "There is no skeleton inside of this one, other than a wad of aluminum foil to take up space in the body. It is super sculpey, which is always pink. I think it is that color because people use it to make dolls out of. .
Thank you for the comment!"

Amazing!! Outstanding!! It really looks like a little griffin, but what happened to the eye? Oh well, still looks cool!!111111

:-) Melody Pena replies: "The eye is an empty socket because the finished sculpture has glass eyes that fit into the holes.
Thank you!"
