wow! soo neat! how on earth did you color it! I still liked it better when it was white though, it brought out his eyes and made him soo much more interesting! not saying this is bad! this is amazing, so it doesn’t matter! ^^

:-) Melody Pena replies: "My first reply to your questions seem to of gotten lost in the "Woods " somehow.
This dragon is a reproduction of the white one that is pictured here. This casting has been airbrushed with metallic colors. Thank you for the comment! "

I have to say, you are extremely talented. I have one of your dragons in the emerald pea**** colouring and I just cant get over the attention to detail in the design and how amazing the colours look.
I love the rainbow you have on this dragon.
are you selling any pieces like this one right now???

:-) Melody Pena replies: "Yes! These dragons are a problem to ship because they are so large , but we did paint a small batch of them of them that we are selling through our online store. Here is the link if you would like to check it out! https://www.windstoneeditions.com/shop/home.php?cat=59
Thank you for the comment, I am so glad you like these dragons."

i think im gonna cry.............. i’ll never be as good as you......... i need to know what tools you used, what type of clay you used, how heavy it is, and all that jazz. how much are the painted ones? im turning 12 this year on septemer 15th and this is all i want. this is one of the greatest dragons ive seen and it actually isnt polymer clay. this is sooooo stunning that im gonna ask for it for my birthday right now so i have to go. bye!

:-) Melody Pena replies: "Oh yes you will, if you work at it. Probably much better, from the sound of things.
You can email me your questions. reptangle (at) gmail (dot) com We are inthe middle of moving so I may not be able to email back to you immediately , but I will, soon as I get a chance."

I love your work have you thought about doing a phoenix

:-) Melody Pena replies: "As a matter of fact, Yes, I did a couple phoenixes! One is in the process of having a mold made on it, or him ( are phoenixes male?)
There are pictures of the phoenixes in process in my personal gallery; here is a link if you are interested in seeing them: http://www.windstoneeditions.com/galleries/thumbnails.php?alb- um=16
I can’t link to the pictures directly because for some reason linking always switches the images around. ( there’s allot of pages in this gallery. Click the numbers at the bottom of the page until you find the phoenixes)
Thank you for visiting!"

I think they are both male and female acording to one story, only one can live at a time and it lays a single egg and burns up in flame to be reborn again from the egg, there seems to be four types the Egypt,Chinese, Japanese, and the Arabian. the Arabian is the one that is most known. the web sight mythicalrealm.com has some info and pic. I can’t wait to see them

:-) Melody Pena replies: "oh I see, each phoenix is both male and female.
I’m sorry that the link I put in the comment above doesn’t seem to work! "

ps. if you would like to see some live phoenix type birds check out feathersite.com and look for the golden pheasants

:-) Melody Pena replies: "I love golden pheasents ! I am very familiar with them! Peafowls make pretty good Pheonixes too.

I found the pic of your phoenix I like the first one best, over all but I like the tail of the 2ed one. as for the legs Ive never had a problem with items like that breaking ,but yiou could change the stile to that of an eagle with the feathers comming down to its ankles and just the feet are scaled, or you could add flames around the feet and legs to make them thicker. Maybe have the bird rising out of the fire reborn, still the wings maybe a shipping problem too. I have an idea on the color for to the red and gold flames are standerd but there is a white and blue flame with a touch of gold like an blowtorch or magniseaum flare. good luck

:-) Melody Pena replies: " Thank you for this comment! Somehow my first reply to you got lost in the woods!"
